Brass Peak AAA with seoul P9

Hi
I got empty shell from Peak so I had to fill it up.


Driver parts are from cheap 5 led bike light with changed inductor.
I had to solder parts direct to each other, inductor,diode, capasitor and transistor.
I had to dremel some metal from sides of the led because it has small positive contacts on sides too
It has small brass heatsink glued to leds bottom.

Current draw is 390mA from fresh ni-mh AAA


Peak on left, Arc AAA with BS-led on right


As you can see it is all flood.
I like how brass reflector warms beam color.

Lubed threads and o-ring today and it works smoothly.

I upgraded a brass peak head with a smjled. I seriously considered a powerled like you did.

in this beamshot the smjled is on the right and much cooler and more consistent.

That is a sweet mod. Didnt know peak would sell bare hosts.

Body is from TheFlashLightGuy at CPFM, I ordered lights for modding purpose.
I have unpotten one aluminium AAA with UV-led but there was not enough room for this pill.
I haven't decided what to do with it yet.
