Romisen RC-G2 with a P7??

Is the G2 direct drive? Would a P7 run with a 14500 in this host? If so, what board would be suggested for it. I'm not looking for a light that will be run for more than five minutes in most cases. Just curious if anyone has done this mod. I have 2 14500's that need a home.

14500+P7=5 minutes.

If you're looking for runtime, your best bet would be an R2/Q5 and the DX sku 7880 board.

Not direct driven. RC-G2 is a AA light with boost converter. With a 14500 you could direct drive a P7 for a few minutes. The deep reflector of the RC-G2 is designed for the Cree and it gives a nice throw for the size. The "Homemade and Modified lights" forum is most suitable for this question.

Personally I would prefer a different host and put a R2 in the RC-G2.
