Are there any bright UV lights? Im curious if there are any vampire killing drop- ins haha. I have seen some gadgets that boast that the UV light kills germs. Any thoughts on that? Its not just any UV light right? Im sure it has to be a certain intensity to actually be effective in killing germs?

It's not the intensity, it's the wavelength that kills germs. About 265 nm uv light kills. Your standard uv flashlight is only about 385 nm. Flourescent blacklight lamps is about 365 nm. These frequencies only make things glow but won't kill things. But I got the Ultrafire 501b UV, it says 3w on it but I only measured about 1w regulated, though still very bright. I then gave it the direct drive treatment and it's now a true 3 watts and can make things visibly glow even in a brightly lit room even from distances as far as 20 feet and at night the throw is astounding, great for scorpion hunting if that's your thing.
