Lumapower LM-33 + Direct Drive Mod + RCR123 = BRIGHT

This is an easy way to make lots of lumens (200+), and still have a low mode.

HI = 0.80 A
LO = 0.11 A

All through a nicely heat-sinked SSC P4 U-Bin.

Maybe you have one sitting on the shelf, unloved because it's dim.

Turn it into an Lummi Orb style of light, direct drive high for best blast on fully charged battery, or resistored low for long runtime.

I would be interesded to know if you can help me. I just got my lumapower M1LumaHunter and i put the batteries in but when i push the button it only flickers and will not lite up? I have cleaned all surfaces several times and can not figure it out. I Can reproduce this problem as many times as i want.

With a CR123 primary

29 mA on high (about 2.2 days runtime)
17 mA on low (about 3.7 days runtime)
