Airgun question:
here's a scope mount, 25 mm to fit the scope tube, and 18 mm to fit the light...
intended to mount a bright and tight beamed flashlight on a scope. I think the 18 mm is intended for a Maglight 2 x AA. Of course, the Mag 2AA even with an upgrade is less than optimal.

I want a light that will fit the mount, and will produce a broad, bright beam equal to the scope FOV out to about 30-50 yards.

Anyone have a suggestion? Most of my 2 AA or 1 AA lights will not fit in an 18 mm ring mount...

The more I look into is, the more you may have to settle for what will fit in the 18mm mount vs. what light will fill the field of view in the scope. In any case, there are some fairly bright options available.

The D10 will fit:

The DNI will fit:

The Proton will fit:

Here is a two cell option:

Another two cell but might be a little tight and wont be as bright:

Thanks a lot, Pat. I have a similar conclusion. The mount rings in mind are 25 mm and 18 mm joined, to have the 25 mm ring fit on a standard one inch scope barrel, and the 18 mm ring clamp on a light.

Looks like most of the Fenix could work, but the shape isn't a simple cylinder. The narrowest section of the L2D barrel is 16.9 mm in diameter, but it's only about 23 mm in length.

The Photon Proton might be the ticket, it's under the diameter of the ring, but you can add tape to buildup. I think the clip can be removed.

It's not my scope, but a typical FOV on a zoom AO scope would be 10-40 feet at 100 yds.
