Silicone shock oil also works on the threads but it is kinda thin.I use dielectric grease for the threads of my fenix l2d q5, and the green slime (really thick silicone grease actually) on the o rings since thats what it is made for after all.

I just use the green slime for now because i had it laying around from my rc car days. (It is extremely thick)Otherwise i would use a small tube of silicone based dielectric grease which is still plenty thick for o rings and threads.
