Lumens and Actual \"brightness\"?
Hi all.
As some of you may know, I'm in the market for a Surefire.
I've pretty much settled on the C2, but depending on your answers, I might get the E2. (Easier to carry, obviously!)
The reason I chose the C2 over the E2 is because I can get a higher lumen bulb for the C2, but not the E2.
However, I've been reading threads here, and apparently lumens don't really have much to do with brightness, which is candlepower.
SO, my question is: Would the 120 lumen bulb that the C2 can accept be visibly and actually "brighter" than the 65 lumen bulb which is standard for the C2 and E2?
Am I just wasting money getting the C2 with a higher-lumen bulb?
Again, I'm looking to carry a light like this as an additional defensive tool. (Blinding an adversary, buying me a couple seconds...)
What do you think?
Thank you!
