Default Regal EDC: Talk about a Turbohead!

Too continue the disscusion in a more rule abiding way......

Have guys seen the new Regal EDC pictures, the Turbohead is huge!
From what I hear, it is supposed to be an optional accessory.
Have you ever used a single AA light with a Turbohead that huge?
    Can't wait for the reviews!

A few pictures of the Turbohead

Wondering how big that head is? M6 size or smaller? Should be interesting to see the results of it.

They say the regular bezel diameter is 3.1cm, I'd say the turbohead or "Hawk Snipe lamp can" as they call it is at least twice that

This one with a 36mm*31mm reflector. Big enough?

Judging by the pictures I'd say the turbo head is about 50% greater in diameter, not 100%. Still it should have impressive throw, especially running on a 14500.

Probably it has the same reflector as Regal K-Mark DMX (which outthrows MRV easily).

AR coating stands for Anti-Reflective coating or Anti-Reflection coating. What is the full name of TT-coating?

Thats a good question, I'd also like to know if the turbohead is just a head or an actual lamp

how does the turbo head help with light?

does turbo head throw light farther? or

does turbo head produce a wider beam?
Admiral of Starfleet Special Operation Forces. We are the vanguard of the Federation against hostile forces.

The turbohead is just that,it screws on and replace the standard head for extra throw there is no extra led inside not from what I can see

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have
    their shoes.

well it will do both being much bigger and larger reflector it will throw light much further,it will also have a wider beam profile than the standard head.

Are you sure? Width of spill depends on reflector widthxdepth ratio.

RF Spear also has big reflector and narrow beam. In such big reflector emitter sits deeper so there's more light reflected=less light for spill.

I think what Titan was referring to was that the physical size of the snipe reflector will give it a wider spill beam, however it may not be very bright because it is focused for throw.

It already looks like a AA thrower without the turbo head!

It looks like a nice light, but I hate the user interface. Counting clicks is one thing, but counting seconds between clicks seems like a real pain when you want to switch modes. Not for me. Otherwise I would consider it, I'm looking for a new thrower light and would really like it to be EDC-able, but that UI is too complex for me.

Given the size, how can Regal call this the EDC? To me, an EDC flashlight is the size of the Fenix L0D.
