Too continue the disscusion in a more rule abiding way......

Have guys seen the new Regal EDC pictures, the Turbohead is huge!
From what I hear, it is supposed to be an optional accessory.
Have you ever used a single AA light with a Turbohead that huge?
Can't wait for the reviews!

A few pictures of the Turbohead:devil:

Wondering how big that head is? M6 size or smaller? Should be interesting to see the results of it.

This one with a 36mm*31mm reflector. Big enough?

They say the regular bezel diameter is 3.1cm, I'd say the turbohead or "Hawk Snipe lamp can" as they call it is at least twice that

Judging by the pictures I'd say the turbo head is about 50% greater in diameter, not 100%. Still it should have impressive throw, especially running on a 14500.

Probably it has the same reflector as Regal K-Mark DMX (which outthrows MRV easily).

AR coating stands for Anti-Reflective coating or Anti-Reflection coating. What is the full name of TT-coating?

how does the turbo head help with light?

does turbo head throw light farther? or

does turbo head produce a wider beam?

The turbohead is just that,it screws on and replace the standard head for extra throw there is no extra led inside not from what I can see :)

Are you sure? Width of spill depends on reflector widthxdepth ratio.

RF Spear also has big reflector and narrow beam. In such big reflector emitter sits deeper so there's more light reflected=less light for spill.

I think what Titan was referring to was that the physical size of the snipe reflector will give it a wider spill beam, however it may not be very bright because it is focused for throw.
