P60 Drop-Ins Fine For Surefire 6PL?

do the SF 6P and 6PL have the same head? I was told it will work fine, but want extra confirmation.

I love the 6P as a drop-in host but am not very excited about their LED's.
So what I do is to buy the 6P as cheaply as I can (got 3 now and will get more), pull out the incan guts and throw it a away, and then drop-in one of the really good LED options available.
