Please explain the UI on a Fenix PxD with the tactical switch/clicky...and how it compares to the stock switch and UI.

The stock UI and switch is:

  • Twist bezel for general mode and turbo mode.
  • Full switch press = constant on/off.
  • Half press = output level and SOS on general mode. Strobe on/off on turbo mode.
With the tactical switch, I'm not sure if it includes momentary on/off. Or how to cycle through different output levels?

Thanks,

Jake

cycle via momentary click from unclicked position.

This is where I get confused. I thought a momentary press would give me momentary on, without changing output. Or are you saying that I get momentary on by half press, and cycle output by full presses? And the full presses won't get confused between constant on/off?

hey snaky...

multi mode and forward clickies aren't really meant to be together... it does kinda defeat the purpose of a momentary on when the light level changes...

it's only really useful on lights that use the clickie for on/off... and the bezel to switch levels...

You half press from off to change modes, full click to stay. The Fenix UI + Forward clicky doesn't give you signal capability, just momentary on option.
