My new Fenix P2D Q5 Edit: now working fine

My new Fenix P2D Q5 died for no apparent reason the other day. I have no doubt the reputable dealer who sold it to me will replace or repair it.

I am curious about what the problem is with the two month old light, and if I could fix it myself. The light all of a sudden stopped working. I tried changing the batteries and cleaning the contacts. It still did not work. It will sometimes work on the start in high setting, but the start in low setting will not work. When I am tightening the head sometimes the light comes on, but it goes out quickly.

Try tightening the tailcap retaining ring.

Thanks Marduke. I picked it up today and it was working, It's stange, it works in both modes. I did not try tightening the tailcap ring, but I will if the problem happens again. I still don't see what could have caused this.
