Could someone please answer a couple of questions about the 2-stage (120/5 lumen) Surefire E2D LED defender:

1) Is the 2-stage feature a function of the head rather than the tailcap? That is, if I use an E2DL head with a typical Z61 tailcap, it's still 2-stage, correct?

2) Is the sequence high first, low second (opposite of the 2-stage E2L)?

Thanks very much.

Mine's coming in the mail so I can't attest to it personally, but my best guess is that you're absolutely correct on #2. With it's intended purpose, I can't imagine that SF would design it to power on in low mode :ohgeez:

As for #1, that's something I'd like to know as well.
