What material is used for the window in current SureFire G2 flashlights?

Lexan? AR Pyrex? Something else? The camo G2s on sale at Gander Mountain are tempting. If it is Lexan, is the window end-user replaceable by unscrewing a retaining ring?

Thanks.

I just got one of those from Gander Mtn. Window is plastic. The bezel does have notches in it, like for a spanner or key but I haven't tried removing it.
Hope this helps.

Ooops. Upon further inspection, the retaining ring does not have the notches to assist with removal. Sorry 'bout that.

Purchased a new G2 last week. It has a Lexan lens and there are no notches on the bezel ring. Looks like the lens cannot be replaced.

If you want a pyrex lens for your G2 , as long as its OD, black, tan, you could always call Surfire and request a bezel for a G2Z combat light. It will fit perfectly and then you will have a pyrex lens. I did this for my OD G2.

My recently purchased G2 appears to be pyrex, I was really surprised by that. However I cannot confirm, I will have to take it apart one of these days.
