6D MAG with 6 AA rechargeable eneloops.

will this work? will the 6AA's just drain out immediately or will it be about the same as using alkaline d's? It would make for a pretty light flashlight. Id use the aa to d converters for this.

hmmmmm....it would work if you could make it fit properly

but thats the point? usually one would use D batteries to extend runtime.

you need something like this

and a 2D mag...:) you can then replace the stock lamp with a 6D lamp, and get a "6D" with in a 2D

or you could get adventurous and get an ROP

yea, those are nice, the only thing is I already have a 6d mag, and I already have 4 eneloop d converters and i was going to buy another pack. just wanted to know how long the runtime would be with 6 AA eneloops.

i know that nimh batteries last longer than alkalines, so how much shorter you think the run time of 6 AA nimh will be compared to 6 D alkalines?
