I'm getting a L2D the one everybody raves about.

It is a classic. I need to get a spare one for my BoB, along with a spare switch. Sorted.

I own a L2S and it only has two settings, 10 lumens which runs for 22 hours and 45 lumens for 4 hours.

I actually like the 45 lumens the most and on the L2D it has 40 lumens for 10 hours.

Atleast 6 more hours of usage.

And what you can do later is get a 1AA battery tube and then a 1 CR123 tube to give you two more new lights. Worked for me.

Congrats on a great new light.

Does this mean I could get an AA tube for my P2D?

Yes, once you purchase the P2D / PD20, you can purchase the 2AA tube (L2D / LD20 ) or the 1AA tube (L1D / LD10).

I have a new PD20 ( which I love by the way) and the old L2D and L1D tubes, which both fit.

It's a cool flashlight.

I really like it.

Now I have a nice aray of different lumens to use with my other flashlights I have.

So now I have a light with 2, 9, 10, 40, 45, and 135 lumens.

In 2AA format it's pretty hard to beat the L2D, but I really liked the L2T as well. I think I still have a number of Rebel Versons. I need to send an L2D or L2T to a friend, I don't know which one to part with. Hmmm maybe a 1 cell light is better fot them.... hmmmm

So far I like it.

It's really a cool flashlight.

I find it ironic that it's 1/4 of inch bigger then my Fenix L2S but weights lighter then it.

I'm glad you like it! The Q5 version is slightly brighter but you can save your money till the next jump in LEDs.

StandardBattery, the L2T V2.0 would be better because it is simpler to use then the L2D.

Thanks.

I was looking at the L2D CE Q5 but I thought the 12 lumens was alittle too bright for reading stuff.

I like the 10 lumens on my L2S.

Too bright and the light reflex off the object you want to read.

Can somebody explain to me why my Fenix L2S is rated "Waterproof" and my L2D CE is rated "Water-resistant dunkable"?

What is the difference?

I've already used my L2S is water. Can I do the same with my L2D CE?
