Pt Surge Bulb Desoldered itself

Blowtorch

Hello fellow CPF'S.
I left my Pt Surge on in my pocket by mistake. When I and felt something warm inside my pocket and looked at the light, I saw the bulb rattling around inside the head. Question.. Is the bulb polarized with a plus and minus leg? and doe anyone know if I can bend the terminals on the underside so that it wont fall out after re soldering?
Thanks

If it's an old Surge they used a solder that had too low a melting point. Call PT and tell them about it and ask for a new lamp assembly with the higher-temperature solder. There was a thread about it here way way back when.

DOH!!! This is actually an old problem, see this thread. It's long, but is worthwhile to read all of it! The solution to the problem is to send the light back to PT, as they have now remedied this problem.
