I've got to take a hastily planned trip in a few days and I've got a question for you all. Would an airport metal detector pick up a few ounces of titanium?
The only reason I ask is that with the previous taking of clippers and such, I don't want to risk loosing a fairly expensive tool as it may be misconstrued as a weapon (just like those dangerous fingernail clippers and knitting needles)and I'd rather have it with me than in checked bags. I've lost checked bags in the past and this item is a sentimental gift.
I don't plan on sending it throught the conveyor belt unless I can take it out of my bag immediately afterwards and I was just going to keep it in my pocket where it usually stays. Let me know what you guys think.
