hi friends, if possible replace original cree Q5 of Nitecore EX10 whit new MC-E ?
dimension will be ok, but driver and reflector ?

its not worth it unless you just want something to show off, even if the driver would work it would be a horrible horrible beam and heat would be a rather big issue as well.

same dome but the mce has four of the xre emitters under the same dome, like a luxeon 3 vs. a lux 5, its gonna be floody with a big donut in the middle...

Diffusion film or sandblasting the lens would make it a flood monster. Then if you resisted mod the driver for higher output along with using AW's new IMR cells.... Mmmm sounds fun

of course, you'd have to be careful not to overdischarge the unprotected IMR cells, but in a "20 seconds at a time" light that may not be a big concern.

You would want to modify the driver as Thujone said, because an MC-E wouldn't be significantly brighter at the low stock drive current.

I can use a Carclo optic specific for MC-E :thumbsup:
