Hello Sway,

I was just wandering if you could explain those heat sinks a bit. Are the ones at the top for emitters on a star? And is there a particular type of reflector I would need to use with them? The sinks at the bottom I am guessing are for bare emitters?

Hello,

You are correct, the sinks at the top are for emitters on a star, the bottom sinks are for bare Cree emitters. These sinks work the best with 20mm reflectors, when the bezel is tightend down the lens holds them in place.

You can use an optic with them but due to their varying height you may have to use a drop of glue to hold them in place if they fit loose.

I received black shorty and ice blue 2d thanks for the glass lenses for the two. I like that ice blue color. I have a couple of dark blue but the ice blue is different.
