My Ultrafire WF-500 flashlight is a xenon light. Are there any Led mods out there for this light that would beat the xenon's 500 lumen performance?

You could also consider the 650 Lumen upgrade bulb from Lighthound (HO-R5) for $20. I am happy with mine. Of course it is not LED, but is a improvement over stock. Here is the link...

Another option os the WF1000. These are nice too and I would guess with two 18650 mine puts out about 700 Lumens. These are also available through Lighthound at http://www.lighthound.com/Ultrafire...ashlight--2-x-18650-batteries_p_156-2624.html The only problem I have had with mine is that occasionally I have to double click to get the light to come on. I plan to put IMR18650's in this as soon as they are available and thay should solve that problem..good luck.

There is a WF-500 drop-in led module, DX and KD both list it. However it is only 200 lumens or there abouts.

There is also SKU 14413 at DX, I'm not sure whether that will fit a WF-500, but I assume it is made to fit something ;)

I have no experience with machining on flashlights, and dont know much more about the P7 or mce, and the Dx mod is not bright enough. Guess I will stick with the xenon for now. I will most likely buy the brighter bulb from lumens factory to play around with.

According to this,

http://www.dealextreme.com/forums/Default.dx/sku.14413~threadid.157189

SKU 14413 will fit and work in a WF-500.

The standard WF-500 bulb is 500 lumens, according to the manufacturer this one is 900. "900 lumens max (manufacturer rated)". 900 lumens is perhaps more lumens than this module produces, but it should certainly produce 600 lumens and use much less power than an incandescent bulb would so it will run for longer (perhaps twice as long).
