Wow! that's is just an unbelievable offer.
BTW: What's your machine lineup and capability. CAD/CAM IF?
I got couple thing I want to do but lack the time. I can provide either/both the model or g-code.

...

Guys you know that just the electricity bill is $5/h.
Not to include rent/insurance/health care ...
Take him up on this offer while it last.

I wonder what it would cost to machine a D-Mag compatible tube which would hold 2xwide 26mm diameter cells. Something with a figure-eight cross sectional view, with each sub-tube having a 26mm ID.

what do you need as far as drawings go? Do you have a free program that you know of I can use? Can you give hour estimates by looking at the drawing?

Thanks, lads.
I can accept autocads files, inventor files, mastercam files. Sorry, I don't know other program, but you can draw the standard three-view drawing by anything you have.
It's better to give me the drawings asap, even a brief drawing. With the drawing, we can estimate the possible hours, but the final result will be a bit different.

To Donn. Thank you! If possible, I'd like to see a simple drawing, because I know my english is limited.

I would love to have a Mag C head that can fit a DEFT size aspheric optic (100 mm)

I don't have access to CAD, but would definetly would be interested in one.

Maybe if Saabluster decided to make a run of these.

100mm! Quite big. So, it can not be modificated from a stock mag head, right?

Talking about aspheric Maglites, how about a Crenelated bezel that fully
protects the aspheric lens.
No one has made one yet. The Kiu VL and XCape bezels do not protect the
lens. With these existing bezels the lens sticks out the end of the bezel.
The new bezel should also have no inside Oring lip (the oring that holds
the lens in). This is because the Mellesgriot lens does not fit a Mag bezel unless
this lip is grinded away

Good idea. A bezel that can protect the lens, but doesn't cover the light much.

P.S. I am in China.

what if your just a regular joe who would like some cncing done, could you use just demensions or is one of those special 3D drawings needed?

Well. 3D drawings are welcome. I am learning about Mags mod now. When I know it well, I can do more works without drawings.

Hi neoseikan,

I have a couple prototype bezels that I've been waiting to have machined. I already have working prints ready to go so all I need is a good machinist for the wright price. Here are some cross sections I came up with during my design phase. The final designs don't look exactly like this, but are very similar. Let me know if you are interested and we can talk further.

:thanks:

Hi, Nano&tx101, it looks you all need the same kind of bezel.
How about let's do the plan together? So that the machining cost per each bezel will be much lower.

Sounds like a good plan! I'll PM you with the prints so you can look them over. However, it may take me a day or so because it seems I don't have the print files here at home.
