Dear co-members

1) As I have recently browsed through DX in order to see their
products looking for the best money/lumens ratio I could find
(Due to the fact that the lottery didn't have my name on it
the last times I've tried )

I noticed the following:

Q2
Q3
Q5 (Ok TK11 has this one and I know its good)
bin (I really don't understand this one)
P7
P7 C-bin
etc...
etc...

What do they mean? What is the best from all of them?
Do they describe LED characteristics?
Which LED type should I look for?

2) Ignoring question 1) which Cree Light would you propose
me for

a) As the best 18650 (thrower) DX light?
b) As the best 18650 (flooder) DX light?
c) As the best 18650 (thrower) MAX lumens 900-1000-1200 etc....DX light?
d) As the best 18650 (flooder) MAX lumens 900-1000-1200 etc....DX light?

Best would be something that creates a lot of light
with glass lens and a metal deflector that I can afford....:)

for the c) and d) categories for instance I have seen this (but I read that it has a plastic reflector) and this (possibly better), but do you (dear Sirs and Madames) have some other ones to propose?

for the a) and b) categories, I have no clue...

I definitely know that there are much better shops and much
better lights around in the Internet, but I cannot afford them.

Once again
a BIG Thank you :twothumbs
Felix :)

hey Felix...

there's a great resource that's a sticky on this very forum...

https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/209354

you should definitely read up on it... gives very good info on a lot of the DX/KD lights....

KraZY

Seems that the maker has done a great deal of work!!!
Well Done!!!

However the sticky unfortunately did not deal with a lot of single 18650 ones and with ones with (advertised at least 900+ lm) :(

Additionally the terms

XR-E, Q3, Q5, bin, P7 etc etc... still seem like Black Boxes

See "Read" you later :twothumbs
