I had a Surefire brand P60L led lamp. I notice the dome over the emmitter was soft to the touch like rubber. Every other led I have seen was hard. Why is it made like that?

It's a Seoul, that's how they all are. Not sure why it is made like that.

I thought that it might have been one of surefires attempts to boost durability or something like that. Thanks for the update.

Don't be touching that dome too much. It will pick up dirt, dust, oil, etc, and will need to be cleaned very carefully with alcohol just lightly touching the surface using a light weight lint free cloth. Very gently.

And stop touching your emitter lol, the domes aren't very sturdy and can fall off.
