The low,low is what usually rules out most lights in this price range (sub $40). The only light that I can recall which fits all of the requirements listed is the rexlight (which is no longer sold)

Maybe my brain will jumpstart a bit later & remember a few more?

You may want to look at the Connexion light.

It is 4,25,100. (lumen)

Do not know if the run time is "good" for you.

Cost $48 plus shipping less CPF discount.

Fenix L1D,

Nitecore D1 - more money but low low to nice high on one A battery.
And the UI is easy.

Just my 2cents. :poof:

The 10 lumens you list is anything but a low low, it is more a "high low".
Further more, 10/30/80 is a very close level spacing for the eye, and you will not see that much difference between the levels.

Just like the fenix LD01 ... the three levels are so close they're almost useless.

If the ligth is for an older person ... isn't one level without any UI a better alternative?

Any of the JetBeam IBS models (there are four choices in 1xAA and 2xAA configs) allow you to program what modes/outputs you want, so you could specifically dial in 10/30/80, and even in that specific order. With your CPF discount, it'd be $60-ish.

But I concur with Kiessling that 10 and 30 lumens would look pretty much the same, and that sophisticated lights aren't a good choice for non-technical folk.
