I finally have high speed, took 10 years to find a way to do it, but the deed is done.
Now I want my Wii to hooked to it for my kids, anybody try this? Is there one router better than another?
Tips will be appreciated!

I have our Wii (as well as our DS's) set up to work through our router.

Not sure if one router is better than others, just stick to major brands.

I have a LinkSys WRT54G running third party firmware from Thibor.

Wii comes with wireless connectivity built in. To get it wired you need to buy a separate adapter, so you might as well use the built in wireless if you can, as Black Rose is probably doing via his WRT-54G.

I just reconnected mine last night for my kids. Impressively, it'll support the latest encryption (WPA2 using AES). Not that it really probably matters much that you keep your Wii screen moves private, just mentioning it because that means it'll support any of the latest wireless routers too. It's not 11n, but all the wireless routers support the older protocols too.

It was a little non-obvious to me how to get to the networking setup windows but my kids told me how to do it. :)

I just pluged mine in. And it found our wifi network by it self, entered the password I to the wii and, All done!
