I'm looking for a light with red and white or blue LEDs. My criteria are that it take AAs and cost under $100 and preferable under $60. I would like the white light to be at least 60 lumens (hopefully 100), and the red, at least 10. I would prefer a single/dual LED arrangement instead of an array of LEDs for battery conservation.

So far I have looked at:
(1) Smith & Wesson Galaxy 13 LED Flashlight
(2) Coast Cutlery - Tek Torches - 7736D (can't tell what batteries this takes).
(3) Phoebus Multicolor 1 Watt LED Flashlight
(4) Photon Proton.

None of these quite fit the bill, however. Am I missing something out there that's a better match?

Thank you,

Marc

Check out the Proton Pro. It would meet your requirements quite well. The white LED (Cree) exceeds 60 lumens, and will ramp down to a very low level. The red (3mm LED) starts low and ramps up to probably at least 10 lumens. There are also a number of blinky modes plus SOS. Bonus feature is a hidden 3 min. shutdown. Great pocket clip, too. It's even a bit less than $60. The only negatives are a ringy beam, that's not a problem in actual use, and that the white starts on high, which might not be a problem at all to you. Mine is almost always in my pocket.

Check out the thread in the reviews section if you think you're interested.
