which headlamps have been upgraded to newer-generation LEDs?

Hi there. My fiancee had a Tikka XP, which I added an SSC P4 star to, but then the light was stolen.

We've waited about a year to see if something better would be introduced, but I'm not sure if there has been anything better introduced. I've read about some headlamps being upgraded with newer-generation LEDs, but I can't remember which headlamps those are. Could someone tell me please:

- which headlamps from Petzl and Princeton Tec have newer LEDs? (i.e. not Luxeon, unless it's a Rebel) I think one of them is the PT Eos.
- what's the difference between the brick-red bodied Tikka XP and the older model (forgot the colour of the older one my fiancee had... gray?)
- how can you tell from the packaging whether you're getting a new-LED version of a headlamp?
- does the no-rechargeable-battery warning from Petzl apply to the Tikka XP?
