Short answer: you don't.

Long answer: it depends on the light. Most likely you'd have to swap out the driver.

The light is meant to be regulated on 1-2xAA, or 1xLi-Ion. To made it work for 2xLi-Ion, you would have to swap out the circuitry, and the light would most likely loose the ability to run on it's current cells.

If you told us what light you are speaking of, we might be able to help more.

What's wrong with the 18650 cell it's designed for? You will get the same if not better performance with a safer setup.

That's why you order online. It is very likely you could get a charger + 2 cells for less than 4 CR123 primaries bought locally.

18650 cells are rechargeable and reusable. You don't throw them away every cycle.

The single 18650 setup gives you far more runtime and a lot more safety over the 2x123 configuration. It'll save you money, too, since the 18650 is rechargeable and costs the same as some places charge for a single 123.

If you've absolutely got to have 18650 AND 2x123 ability in a JetBeam, the current Military and III Ultra "Broad Voltage" models accept both.

I can't buy them in my country either - but the internet is your friend. Just go to the market place here and buy them from AW.

+1 on AW's products

Don't give up just because you can't something locally

I have the Olight M20 which is a fairly similar light except it can accept both 123's and 18650's. Even though the 123 setup is a little bit brighter on max, the 18650 will run the light a lot longer as you are comparing 2500mah at 3.7 volts or 9.25 watt/hrs against 750mah at 7.4 volts or 5.55 watt/hrs. I would take the additional runtime any day over the very minimal brightness increase :grin2:
