I'm modding my RC-G2 with R2, but I can't decide which driver I'm going to use. After intensive searching I've limited options to DX's 7880 and 7882. But I can't find any decent test data about these. So does anyone know which one has better efficiency?

And I'm not sure did I understand how to disable modes. If I solder LED(-) from the emitter and LED(-) from the driver to the driver's outer ring (ie. to battery's (-)) does it work, or will it go :poof:?

Thanks in advance and happy Christmas :)

DX 7880 board is the preferred choice most people use to mod their RC-G2.
( I prefer to run the DX 7880 at single mode ( max ) ).

You also need to replace the led with a Q5.

Ok, I ordered the 7880. But could someone confirm that I understood correctly how to disable modes?
