anyone figure out how to open energizer trailfinder 2 in 1?

i got 2 of these for $1 ea from a biglots that was closing.
thought i had it figured out but the 4 tabs inside only release the "pill" consisting of the led and its heatsink.still have no luck in getting the telescoping part apart and dont want to destroy one to find out.

nope, but if I saw them for $1 each I would buy a few and tear one up seeing about modding it. I tore up a doublebright by energizer so it is quite possible they are permanently glued together and you will have to cut it open and hope you can glue it back together.
