I've been lurking here for a (long)time, and finally registered…
To begin, I am NOT (not, not, not) a flashaholic (those types are nuts!).
Here is the deal, a friend recently gave me a Streamlight 4AA (Xenon, not LED), that he was given because, "I don't really need another flashlight, and I know you kind of go crazy about those things".
I repeat, I am not a flashaholic. Admitting it is the first step to solve the problem, and I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM! Just because acquaintances know and accept my tendency to marvel at the wonders of battery powered lighting, doesn't mean I'm coming out (yet)...
Basic ??:
Can I run Lithium AA's in this Streamlight 4AA without damaging it?
(I remember reading about hazards of using the lithiums in the 4AA models, but don't remember the details, and 20 minutes of searching has yielded poor results)
I have not had any problems (overheat, immediate bulb failure) running lithiums in my UK 4AA models, or AA headlamps.
Help.
Thanks, mn_308
