I have a question about my X5. When I use the switch as a momentary, I notice a lot of "play" in the tailcap threads. It feels very sloppy. When I press the button, the entire tailcap moves forward (at least a full millimeter) instead of just the button switch. If I squeeze the side of the tailcap without touching the button, I can activate the light by wiggling it back and forth.

Is this kind of sloppy fitting common on the X5 tailcap, or do I have a defective light?

I have also noticed this same issue (although to a much lesser extent) on all 4 of my SF A2's.

Should I be concerned? Is it common, or is it a defect?

Thanks,
BG

It seems to be normal for all twisty lights. My Inova X-5,Inova bolt 2aa,and my Surefire twisties do the same thing. If you don't want it to turn on by moving the cap assembly inward unscrew till it will not turn on.
You will still be able to activate the tailbutton.
