Ive had my Nitecore d10 for awhile, Using NIMH and Alk's its very nice, but I found some Saft 14500(Yes its a primary) at work. I tested the voltage and its putting out 3.67v so I put it in and it very dim, I would guess around 40lm.

Are the batteries bad? Bad D10? or 14500 primaries a no-no?
No, I dont really want to buy a Rechargable 14500 right now. Just wanting to see if these would work.

Saft 14500 cells have 100mA max discharge current. D10 pulls 5-7 times more...

14500 cell should work fine. Most here would recommend the AW brand available at CPFMarketplace or 4sevens.

As phantom23 said the Saft cells are not for high drainage devices like LED lights and could be dangerous to use. I would use a Alkaline or NiMh until you purchase a 14500. You will get a few more lumens from a 14500.

Oh thank you, I guess that explains it.
As soon as I turn in on its just about killing it, right?

Yes I will get some AW's soon, I have a couple rcr123's for my p3d. Love guilt free lumens.

Edit: Would there be anylight suited to use them?
