Got one with a tailswitch? Clean out one of those plastic tubs that hold soft margarine/salsa/etc. and cut an "X" in the bottom. Slip the flashlight through the "X" and viola! Instant candle. Works great w/ the AA/AAA/123 sizes, but even a big C cell Mag ought to be more stable than just resting on its base.
