A spacer is included to provide proper contact for the AA nimh battery. You will need to create a sleeve from cardstock to line the body and provide centering for the battery.

I epoxied the head so it wouldn't come apart when changing batteries, and I epoxied the driver for heat dissipation. I would not attempt to re-mod this head.
