I was rummaging through my spare odds and ends parts bin and found some dust caps for mil spec connectors. These fit perfectly, snugly and protect the lens from impact and clicky from activation/damage during storage/transportation. The front one obviously doubles as a red filter, ableit kind of bright even on low. But very evenly floody!
Of course the rubber band is a style breaker, but something else will be found.
I will post the part numbers and prices next week if you want some (edit: where you can get them, I am not offering them here.), they are probably like 20 cents each or something. Probably in different colors. Plus the rubber band, of course... (Different diameters available probably fits different lights)
