I've been doing some research on flashlight lubricants: those that conduct electricity, those that will not harm a wide spectrum of rubber and silicone O rings, and those that inhibit oxidation on aluminum and other metals.

Conductivity wears out in lubricants and is not worth the cost.

The product I found, I must buy in quantity. It is safe for use with a large range of rubber, plastic and silicone O rings. It is also a particularly good oxidation inhibitor for aluminum, which is good because aluminum oxidizes over time and the oxidation that forms is a poor conductor of electricity, you can't see it, and it is next to diamond in hardness.

The cost would be $3 for two .7g squeeze tubes with needle spouts on them, including shipping. These tubes are about the diameter of those little Blistex squeeze tubes but about 2.5 times as long.

Would any folks be interested in this?
