I have a Z68 clicky for my Scout Light. I like the shroud to prevent accidental activation but I'd like it to be momentary on only. Is there a way to de-clickify a clicky without compromising its reliability or structural integrity?

Yes. You'll need to take it apart and file the "teeth" flat. It'll then be a twisty tailcap, so...

another option would be to buy a twisty tailcap from SF.

I'd buy a Surefire cap in a heartbeat but I don't think they make a recessed or shrouded twisty for the E-series anymore. :(

Do you have any advice on how I might remove the guts? I've been prodding at the tailcap but can't seem to find a way in without breaking something.

Awesome! I found something that looks like it'll do the trick. Now I just have to do it or ruin and expensive piece of aluminum trying.
