Solarforce L2 18650 body not supposed to fit 1x18650?

Hey guys, I just got a Solarforce L2 with the 18650 body. The width is wide enough to fit an 18650, but the battery sticks out on the end and I can't tighten the tailcap down all the way.

Is this normal?

EDIT: I contacted the vendor and showed them pics. Apparently this is a faulty body.

Well when I look inside, the body steps up, and the inside diameter narrows - presumably the narrowed space is to fit the drop-in module? I'm not entirely sure b/c I don't have a module yet.

I have the Solarforce 18650 body and it works fine for me with Malkoff m30wf and various Lumens Factory bulbs.
