Hello Whistler, greetings from a fellow Dutch CPF member! There is another Dutch man on this board, BlackBart, so that makes three now. Cool

Enjoy yourself here, and be amazed at the low prices the American CPF members pay for their lights.

Don't worry Velcro. We take it the hard way on buying lights from outside the US.
Heck, just make friends here and save on some Euro's.

You see logicnerd, that's the first step to be a good dutchman, you don't know who you are. Now say a thousand time " I'am dutch
blush.gif
" and "Scheveningen
blush.gif
" and you will
be(lieve) that you are dutch...

As Bart said " practice and all will come back..."

Hey Saaby, can you say geitenkaas?
smile.gif

To prevent going off-topic too much I will now say something about those Lupine lights; those Lupine lights look cool. Which LED's do they use?
wink.gif

(oh wait, LED's are off-topic on this side of the board. Oh well

Hi,
has anybody heard from 'Lupine' lights?

They are pretty 'cool' (in two ways
cool.gif
).

lupine

They have very good headlights and bike lights

Here are some pictures with the 'lights in action': headlight gallery

Here are some pictures with lamps mounted on bikes:

Here the 'overview 'bike lights:
bikelights

The price starts at about $170, the most expensive costs about $550. Not the most cheap lights but you can turn them with extension kits into a headlight, tentlight or bicycle-headset. ( Easy, I know you can do that with some tape also with your Arc-Ls...)

Quality seems to be very good. They use very good battery- and charging-systems, gold plated connections, most are programmable... .

From what we have heard from MY with his coast to coast trip link
there are cheaper bikelights indeed...

A very nice headlight is the Stuby X-trem (LED), but it's VERY (±$550,-) expensive and I think it's made in first place for 'professional' use ( So don't complain: it's soooo expansive...are you mad?...I would NEVER buy something priced like this...

). It got a 4.2 Ah, 7.2 V, 30.24 Wh Lithium-Ion battery and runs more than 24 h. As mentioned you can also convert it into a tentlamp or bikelight. Seen the price not much people would buy it, but it's nice, you have to admit. I know no other headlamp like this one.

Can anybody contribute his/her experience with these lights?

What...did you say something
wink.gif
(Just recomposed it, that's all)

Those look like nice lights. Those buttons in the "electronics" section look interesting but confusing. Only real problem I can see is that the plugs aern't US but there are converters to solve that problem, and I suppose you're stuck with that (Things only coming with a US plug) all the time.

So do you own or are you considering purchasing a product from them?

P.S. Don't skip the flash intro or else the site is in dutch...
