HELP! hid won't fire up

hey everyone,

i just bought a hid xenon 35W lamp for a spotlight mod. i recieved it today but when i tried to test it, it only flashed. everytime i fire it up , it only flashes a couple of times and then shuts off

im using a 12,4V power supply. maybe it could be that the voltage or Amperage is too low? the ballast sticker says input voltage 13,5V dc

so could that be the problem?

also, there is a wire with a green connector at the end but i can't find were to connect it.....

btw is it normal for an HID bulb to have grey dirt on the inside of the sphere like thing that contains the gas?

Also it's normal for your bulb to look like that. That's salt.

thanx i found out it needs more amps in order to startup normal
