Title pretty much says it. Any lights come to mind that I can safely run 1 unprotected 16340 rcr123? Prefer it to have low voltage cut off, but perhaps I could get by with a noticable dimming, like in a linear regulator.

Budget models are fine.

NovaTac 120E, 120T, 120P all have overdischarge protection built in. They also have thermal protection. I believe the Ra family of lights have these features as well. I bought 8 unprotected 16340's specifically for my NovaTac because I never have to worry about running them down too far. It begins to step the brightness down gradually when it senses the voltage is nearing an unsafe level(for the battery that is) and then finally turns off at the appropriate time to keep from ruining the battery. It works very well from my experience.

Thanks for the replies.
I bought the C2H with a Q5 WC. I sort of wanted to get the Q3-5A but I couldn't pass up the price on the Q5 that Flashcrazy has in the marketplace right now.
