My husband and I did our Valentine's Day thing today as it was easier than trying to fight the mob tomorrow and waiting on flower deliveries and such.

I put together a lovely bag for him with a black ICON Rogue 1 (I also gifted myself a green one ;)), a whole bunch of mini bags of pink and red M&M's, two red roses (him and me), a little green monkey to hang from the bag and Fallout 3 the Survival Edition.

He sent me a very lovely vase of flowers with my favorite lilies and a very large and cuddly pink and white HuggaBella bear... :D

Now we're heading out to dinner. Tomorrow... he plays his new game and I get to work on taxes... YAY!!

Got my wife 2 dozen roses (red, white, pink) and we're going to try and go see a movie tomorrow while her parents watch the kids.

My wife and I don't do the candy/flowers/commercialized thing. What we do is steal time for ourselves away from the world. We haven't finalized our plans but we'll probably head to our beach house for the weekend and do our usual shooting/dinner/hiking. Fun stuff.

Posted by saabgoblin: "A dozen long stem Surefires and an assorted box of 123's, what else?"

LOL! Absolutely priceless! Long-stem SureFires...umm, would that be the M4 or the Beast? Either way, you'll need to include much more than just one box of 123 batteries.

Thanks for the laugh.

I'm taking my GF to see Under the Sea in 3D at the IMAX that is part of the place where I work. Then we are going to a nice family owned Italian restaurant that we both love. Then we are going to MGM Grand Casino in Detroit. She's also getting handmade chocolate treats from Kilwin's in Ann Arbor and a bouquet of stargazer lillies (her favorite flowers) from Westborn Florist in Dearborn.

This evening I was moving some stuff in our storage room and happened upon my gifts: a fifth of Elijiah Craig 12 yr bourbon and a six pack of 2009 Bigfoot Barley Wine Ale. She doesn't know enough about flashlights to get me one that I would really like, but dammit if she ain't a keeper.

...a bouquet of stargazer lillies (her favorite flowers)...

That is what my husband sent to me... I love Stargazers! They are so gorgeous and smell wonderful!

This is the stunning bouquet of pink roses and stargazers that my husband sent to me for my birthday last month...

Unexpected thread but fun!

I'm a big fan of Valentines day because my wife enjoys it so much and its a great excuse to spoil her rotten for putting up with me ;)

She got a dozen roses delivered to her office today, dinner tomorrow night at the next steakhouse on our list, Quality Meats (http://qualitymeatsnyc.com/) and tickets to the NYC wine expo coming up in a few weeks.

She gave me an early gift and bought a Kifaru E&E to go along with the xray I ordered a few weeks ago - shes a keeper, eh! :naughty:

Whoa, I got a little worried at that point before reading the rest of the sentence!

I was thinking, "Geez I don't like V-day either but that's no reason to go psycho with chainsaws and axes!"

:D

 Worse than a cold, but not quite flu...yet, I think??? Bummer for sure!

Not one of those colds that just attack the head & chest, but one that attacks the whole body. 3rd one in my family to get it. "Our" Glo-Ring shipping department (wife) seems to be immune so far.
