For y'all that do a lot of OP painting on Mag reflectors, I have a couple photos and want opinions as to the next step. I'm using Krylon clear acrylic because that's what I had.

Photo 1 just a couple of light coats, done from arm's length and a light spray.

Photo 2 the same light coats with one heavier coat a few minutes after.

Photo 3 the same light coats with 2 heavier coats a few minutes between each one.

Thanks in advance,
Justin

Interesting but I have never done it before. I have a plastic SMO reflector for a Husky spotlight I was wondering how to change to OP, this looks pretty nice. Can you provide beam shots? At least a SMO beam shot then after one of your coating types? That would be quite interesting!

I don't have a before, but here's a KD MOP reflector with a Mag P7.

I did a ROP and before was the normal Maglite rings and donut. After with the MOP was smooth with no rings, but a little less throw. I prefer a large smooth beam to a real long throw.
