Put a sleeve around the AA's so they don't move around.

I'm interested too in a 2AA body for my E1L (KL1 luxeon) but how will it perform with 2 Nimh or alkalines? Are brightness and runtime still ok?

If you could find yourself one of the Vital Gear VB3 bodies (I think sadly no longer made) you could put either 3x123 (only safe for the 4th gen KL1, not KX1) or 2xAA (for use on any KL1 or KX1).
