Brightest (but efficient) light?

I'm trying to get all the "brighter is better" out of me, so I've saved up some money to get the most powerful flashlight I can, and I really had my eyes set on the Torch from Wicked, but the 15 minute runtime is a major deal-breaker on that. Are there any other lights that are about the same size and price that will run for longer and output 3000+ Lumens? Preferably something with a focusable beam?

HID. To elaborate, High Intensity Discharge will get you a lot of lumens in a tightly focused beam at an efficiency level that is significantly better than incan. That said, the price tag is going to be significantly higher, too. I'm not an expert on HID, so if you're looking for a specific light recommendation, I'm sure there are other people and threads out there to point you in the right direction.

What's your price range?

A lower cost HID would be larger(and usually no focus ability) but provide more runtime.
