stars...?

last time i ordered some parts for my p7 builds (i now have 2 mags under my belt :twothumbs) i ordered a star in case something came up where i needed it i would have one. to be honest, i dont even know what they do or are there for. can someone enlighten me so i can be more diverse in my build abilities. thanks.

As far as I know, the stars:

-easier to work with
-easier to attach to a heatsink using screws or thermal epoxy
-upgrading older lights with the standard 20mm luxeon star form factor is easier

I'm sure there's more

aah. makes alot of sense now. sure beats putting loads of aa epoxy on there and hoping the electricity doesnt conduct. thanks

Loads of AA is never a good thing, you want it as thin as possible, so far I've never had a problem with the slug not being isolated, the maximum amount of AA needed to mount a P 7 would be about as big as a match head.

By the way alcohol swabs are good for cleaning up AA before it sets.
