I wanted to start off by saying hi. I started reading this firum a few days ago afterbuying a new streamlight stinger. I love the light but now i want more. I have a few dorcey lights a few Mags and the Stramlight. Thr lightning at my work stinks. I repair electronics for a living and need to see what im doing, So im looking for a stand to aim ny flashlight at my work while im soldering. I have seen a few, Snap-On has 2 i was going to but but i think a goose neck tyoe would be better. What are you working with or know about. Here is the snap-on type

Looks like the wrong kind of holder for desk work unless you have vertical metal surfaces next to your work area to attach the magnet to.
I think you would be better served by something with a gooseneck as you said.

Here's a product worth looking at. http://www.astroarm.com/

back during the holidays, home depot sold some coast lights with a set flexible legs/magnetic feet that would hold most 1 " body lights. i'm trying to track down some extra sets for some friends.
