KX2C, then and now

I believe one of the complaints against the KX2C was cat urine greenish tint. Ive got one of the older KX2C on an M600C with the serial number in the 6,000 range. I recently got a Surefire/Viking tactics L4 light which is just an E-series body with a KX2C with the serial number in the 15,000 range.

Comparing both side by side the 15,XXX serial numbered head doesnt have the greenish tint anymore. I guess surefire listens to their customers.

Anyway I tried to take some pics but you cant really see the difference between the 2 with my camera

Tint is a lottery. No manufacturer controls it completely. They can only buy bins, what bins are available, and there is still a lot of tint variation within bins. No light from any manufacturer has the same tint in every unit made. You saw two different lights so you saw two different tints. That is to be expected.
